Humanity

The golden gardens
Tainted with sin;
Never looked so beautiful
When looking from the outside in.

The silver sky
Blazing with red;
Never a better symbol
That humanity is dead.

Crooked trees
With gnarled roots,
Standing slanted
Bearing no fruits.

Humans alike
With vacant stares,
No compassion
Because no one cares.

Sterile nature
With no posterity,
No understanding
And no sense of clarity.

From up looking down
There is mercy;
From down looking up
There’s only heresy.

In depression you will find
Humanity is not spared;
Everyone’s to blame
And the hatred be shared.
