I'll Bleed for You

Hate is easy, love and acceptance takes courage
Because we're not bulletproof
We're not bulletproof but we're so quick to pull out a gun
And just start shooting at anyone

We all have wounds
Some heal and become scars
Some don't and just become shattered hearts

Words are like razorblades
They cut and scar
But instead of skin
They scar the mind and heart

Those are the worst kind of wounds
They take a long time to heal
That is, if they heal at all
Stinging words we throw at people until they're broken down
And starting to crawl

Words sting.
Words hurt.
Words kill.
So many people who took their own lives because they were being put through hell
Insult after insult,
Cut after cut
They bled to death

Scramble of words on paper,
Each word like a drop of blood that they ever bled
So many things running through my head
I mean each word
Each word is like a bandaid
Helping me get closer to what is right

I bleed for them all
I bleed for Shelly
I bleed for peace and acceptance one day
I bleed so that people will stop using words as razorblades

For those who bled to death
I'll live on for you
I'll speak out for you
I'll bleed for you
Hopefully one day I'll make you proud
And make them see the truth

There's no room and time for all the hate
Words shouldn't be used as razorblades
I'll bleed forever
For you I'll bleed
Watch me bleed
