Learn Not To Judge

There's a man lying there,
on a bench,
in the middle of Central Park.
You may think he's just lazy,
not wanting to get a job, and homeless,
but you dont know the truth.
He was happy go lucky many years ago,
until he saw his wife and son die,
after getting hit by a car.
He lost his job,
and then finally his mind.

There's a girl,
carrying her baby,
only about fifteen.
They call her a whore, slut, skank, easy.
What they dont know is,
one rainy night,
coming home from work,
she was raped,
in a dark alley.
She was all alone then,
and all alone now,
and now she has people who judge her.

We judge,
without looking for the truth.
We call people names,
without bothering to get to know them.
We dont know their stories,
so we shouldnt judge them.
The girl with a baby, got raped.
The homeless man, went crazy.
The boy without his homework, talked his friend out of suicide.
The girl who cuts, was abused by her father.
We need to stop judging,
and when we do,
we'll all live better lives.
