Drowning In the Sand

So you're telling me it's okay.
That what you're doing is alright.
That you are just human.
That this decision is your right.

The ends justify the means.
It doesn't matter who you hurt.
Or where you leave the scars,
Even if their on the heart.

You can look at a person,
With your false, misjudging eyes.
If they don't know it doesn't hurt.
How long do you tell yourself that lie?

You're no angel.
I can tell by what you've done
I'm not perfect myself,
But I'm not the murdering one.

So you stay behind
Watch the birds sing while you can,
Revelling in your own mind,
Drowning in the bloody sand.
