As I write to you
"I miss you."
I pray my words can reach your heart
Do digital texts hide me true feelings?
I guess so, but I feel better this way
I could never talk to you in person
I can't even look you in the eyes
Without getting teary eyed and nervous
Does everyone feel this same overflowing joy
When they look at the one they love?
And so I do all this useless me can do
As I write to you
I pray my feelings can reach yours
Floating to you, however far apart we are
And when you read my letters to you
Can you read beyond my words to see how I truly feel?
As I write to you

My fingers tremble when I press send
I hope you see beyond my paper thin veil
And see that I truly mean to say
"I love you."
