A Lover's Dawn.

Image
Sometimes I think the world’s against me.
Why would they want to understand?
Scared I hid from the world to see.
But then you offered out your hand.

Once a little child pathetic and afraid,
So used and dirty and looked down upon.
But when I’m with you confidence is gained
You made a nightmare turn to a beautiful dawn.

I give to you in return my heart which you repaired.
Imperfect though I can only hope will suffice.
A life with you I will always want to share.
With you I am forgiven for my past vice.

Doubts will not overcome desire.
Fights are muffled by our passion.
Together we shall continue to inspire.
A connection rarely experienced by humans.

When two hearts become one,
You bring out the best in myself.
A best friend and a lover I have won.
I love you more than love itself.
