This Dark Place

I feel this thumping in my head
The loneliness of the dark
A bullet through my arm and leg
The breaking of my heart
These lines that you've made are crossed
But still nothing left to say
We'll never worry about dying as virgins
Because life fucks us over just the same
Do you even hear what you're saying?
How can you not even hear?
To be so blinded by the world
To close out everything you once held dear
All your empty promises, unfurled
All your memories mixed up and swirled
Hiding your hurt with your deeds
Raping the girl who always met your needs
Never caring, always staring
Lost in this pit of despair
Maybe some day you'll see the light
Free all who have fallen under your plight
Maybe that girl will find a better home than under your stairs
In this world we know there's no true love
Everyone keeps on trying to shove
Shove you into many unwanted things
This world is such a dark place
Not letting you fly with your own wings
Then leaving you alone without a trace
Someday we just might leave here
And go to a much better place
Then you can be free from all this pain
I promise you, all the same

I like this poem for the most part, but I'm just not quite sure if I ended it right. =/
