Forgotten
I hear an explosion, through the murky skies,
I look around, through my wondering eyes,
I see a fellow friend fall,
Another death, to add to them all.
Without a doubt, this is hell,
No one to hear me scream or yell,
Another pained, tortuous day,
Only you can read what I have to say.
As time goes on, tick tock, tick tock,
They steal away our lives and seal it with a lock,
Keeping us away, from the outside world,
Where problems are usually slowly unfurled.
We can't stand here, quaking in fear,
But you surely would, If you were standing right here,
You call us a coward, if we don't come,
But for saying that you are quite dumb.
You don't understand, what we feel,
Because you don't know what is real,
You people lie, you people are sick,
You make us look like we are thick
You told us it would have ended, by the month of December,
But who on the 25th did you not remember?
We were there, when we should have been home,
These barren landscapes, we forever shall roam.
I look around, through my wondering eyes,
I see a fellow friend fall,
Another death, to add to them all.
Without a doubt, this is hell,
No one to hear me scream or yell,
Another pained, tortuous day,
Only you can read what I have to say.
As time goes on, tick tock, tick tock,
