Feel Better

I know you, you didn’t have to lie,
You had so much to say,
A plastic mask, a false disguise,
Your mind looked far away.
I saw your hurt, I saw your pain,
Floating in the sea,
You were never ugly, never plain,
And then we heard your plea.
The words were swimming in your eyes,
As you admitted what was wrong,
We already knew from all the times,
You wanted to be alone.
Help is what you asked them for,
You’d hit an all-time low,
Your mind and mood were always poor,
Food had become your biggest foe.
A few months later we laugh, we pray,
We’re coming to an end,
We’ve come to that amazing day,
Where we can see you smile again.
You, yourself can now accept,
A skeleton isn’t beautiful,
You stopped before there was nothing left,
And for that I am grateful.
We’ve been together since long ago,
Now you’re on a better track,
You’re my best friend, so I hope you know,
I’ll always have your back.
