Don't Hide From This Light

Catching sunlight from above.
Soaking it into her skin.
Where she once was dark,
Is now glowing bright.
All her windows fixed.
The blinds pulled back.
Everything taken from her.
Everything broken about her.
But she still has her light.
Standing on her feet,
Gracefully spinning around her room.
Her eyes flutter,
Almost too much brightness.
Keeping them open,
She dances on water.
They tried to break what she was.
Trying to tear her down.
She rose up.
So close to those clouds.
Exuberant she is.
No longer fragile.
Try to shatter her world,
But it won't work.
She's untangled herself from the Darkness.
Never again to return.
She's found her Light.
Grasping onto it forever and always.
