I'm a Young Soul

I was a young soul,
only had one little goal.
I ask you now why this world is filled with hate;
is this our fate?

I was a young soul,
growing up in a strange world.
I made mistakes I won’t regret,
it’s not something I will ever forget.

I was a young soul,
never really felt whole.
I believed dreams came true;
innocence stays to only a few.

See I’m a girl who believes in dreams,
my heart was once ripped at the seams.
My mother taught me it’s okay to make a mistake,
as long as you do not turn out fake.

See, I’m a girl who doesn’t believe in hate.
Hope is weight,
upon my shoulders.
Will this be my wholesome fate?

I’m a new soul,
That came into this weird world.
I was a small girl,
Inside the strange world.
