A Glistening Twilight

The green grass glistens
As my tear drops fall and hit them
Under this starry twilight, tonight.
A ladybug crawls against my skin
Dandelion fluff is floating in the wind
How could I feel so hurt in this serenity, tonight?
How can stars shine so bright
But my heart is losing all its light
All I can see is what I’ve been told
How can the heat still be so cold?
All I can do is lay under the stars
And wonder who we really are, tonight.
