She Closed Her Eyes

She is upset,
it’s nothing new;
something she can’t forget.

And she closed her eyes,
for a second,
trying to figure out those lies.

She grabbed a knife,
she found a relief,
something beyond her parent’s belief.

She swears they had no right,
she is sick of hearing them fight.
She is sick of her pain she feels;
it’s almost every single night.

And she closed her eyes,
for a second,
trying to figure out those lies.

And she walks on in,
they push her into the bin.
She is done, she is finished for now.

She bites her lip, she finds a relief.
Blood flowed as she cried;
Something that wasn’t in her belief.

And she closed her eyes,
for a second,
trying to figure out those lies.

She is sick of the stares,
she is sick of the glares.
It’s starting to hurt, the pain she feels.

School is finished, but for the rest of her life.
And she closed her eyes,
for the very last time.
Goodbye to those lies.

She pressed the knife,
to her palm,
goodbye life.
