Heartstrings

He played me
Like a violinist with his bow,
Pulled me along
Like a dog in a show.
Where I thought there was love
In his beautiful eyes,
There was only deceit,
A heart full of lies.
He plucked my heartstrings tender,
A delighted melody,
And then he exposed me as a fool,
So everyone could see.
What he didn't know
Was that I have things to hide
And when he left me all alone, I snapped,
And committed suicide.
