A Broken Girl
She sits on the bed.
Raindrops stream down her window.
She cries quietly.
She envies the rain.
It looks so free and tranquil,
While she remains caged.
She is imprisoned.
A caged bird within herself,
Trapped inside her heart.
Stolen in her youth,
Her heart became so fragile,
Her soul so hollow.
A man in a mask,
Stole her from her precious years,
And left her so cold.
She then made a vow
To never love another
Until she met death.
Raindrops stream down her window.
She cries quietly.
She envies the rain.
It looks so free and tranquil,
While she remains caged.
She is imprisoned.
A caged bird within herself,
Trapped inside her heart.
Stolen in her youth,
Her heart became so fragile,
Her soul so hollow.
A man in a mask,
Stole her from her precious years,
And left her so cold.
She then made a vow
To never love another
Until she met death.
