They Shine

A thousand suns may set on one day,
But that does not mean they will not rise again.
The glorious beauty of their many rays,
Will not be contained by the world's lies.

They will conquer and defeat,
A world that has lost almost all meaning.
In all their might they'll send enemies to retreat.
And shine down upon it with armor so gleaming.

A thousand suns will restore sight,
To the world that has gone blind.
The birds who wish to fly, take flight,
And fight for the right to control your mind.

For a thousand suns golden tears will fall,
And rain upon a cruel world's sky.
To sightless eyes they will call,
And shine down on those who try.
