The way I wish it was.

So I stood in the snow waiting for your letters in the mail
I stood in the rain to hear you speak
I layed in the grass wishing
I sat in the sand waiting for you to run by and say " come one. Get in the water."
I crouched in the woods to await the arrival of you for our parents forbade me to see you
I floated in the lake waiting for you to come and tip me from behind
I flew a thousand miles on a plane to see you one last time.
But i never got to see you that one last time.
You never did show up to give me a jacket in the snow
You never did show up to put an umbrella over my head in the rain
You never did show up to lay beside my in the grass
You never ran by me in the sand saying "come get in the water."
You never did come and tip me over in the water.
You never did arrive in the woods to softly say the words i love you
Do you know what happened to you?
The only thing you can lie in is a coffin
I never got to tell you that one last time that i loved you back with all my heart
That the reason i was coming to see you was to give you my heart.
Because yours was dying and killing you
You left me in the snow so cold
You left me in the rain all wet
You left me sitting in the grass getting all dirty
You left me in the sand staying dry not getting near the water
You left me alone to float away in the lake
You left me alone in the woods and made me wonder what i did wrong to deserve to loose you>
