Office Aid

I sit here quiet
on this chair
bored out of my mind
with rules everywhere

There's a policeman to my left
a girl to my right
and two angry parents
because their kids got in a fight

I tap my pencil
wondering what to write next
trying to think of rhyming words
and what would sound best

My glass are on my head
on the desk are sticky notes that are yellow
and here comes in
another policeman fellow

My eyeballs are hurting
and twice my glasses have fallen off my head
I'm tired and thinky
I just want to go back to bed

I sit here with the girl
wondering how old the young assistant may be
she's looks about twenty-four
from what I can see

I go to the intercom
and call a student to get her binder
thank, God for the intercom
I didn't have to go and find her

Well this is it
the end of my writing
now I have to go to another class
My math that is worth nail biting
