Haunted- Lyrics

It pounds on my walls
It shouts and it calls
It keeps trying to reach me...
It shrieks and it moans
It yelps and it groans
Trying to get my attention
Oh, it won't work
I may sound like a jerk
But, just go back underground!

You are dead yet still alive
You want me badly and you still have to try
To get me back
Too bad you're gone
If you were living, I would have given in before long!

(chorus)
Stop haunting me!
I have had enough
Stop taunting me!
Saying you're fine when I know it's a bluff
Stop scaring me everytime I turn around
Stop scaring me, shouldn't you be underground?

You creak the wooden floors
And slam shut all the doors
Just to get me to notice
You've taken over my home
Even though you should be bone
I can't wrap my mind around it

You were finally gone and outta my life
Then you came back, gee ain't this nice?
I'm not living with this any longer
Every startle you give me
Makes me stronger!!

(chorus)
Stop haunting me!
I have had enough
Stop taunting me!
Saying you're fine when I know it's a bluff
Stop scaring me everytime I turn around
Stop scaring me, shouldn't you be underground?

Get back in your coffin
Underneath the dirt
I'm not sorry if I caused you pain
And made you hurt
You shriek in the night
And give me a fright
Shining an eerie blue light
It's turning me blind
I KNOW YOU'RE THERE
YOU DON'T NEED TO SCARE ME!!!

(chorus)
Stop haunting me!
I have had enough
Stop taunting me!
Saying you're fine when I know it's a bluff
Stop scaring me everytime I turn around
Stop scaring me, shouldn't you be underground?

You are the creep in the night
Stop haunting me!
Giving me a ghostly fright
Stop haunting me!
Ok, you scared me this time
Stop haunting me!
It's the LAST time
Stop haunting me!
just die...

Hey, this song is pretty much just a huge metaphor. All the references to being dead and literally haunting me, really mean that they are dead to ME. In real life, I wrote this song about a girl I broke up with who kept coming back hoping for a second chance. So that was just in case you actually cared about what the song is about. Thanks for reading and tell me what you think, I'm always open to feedback!
