Crying Senseless Tears

Young girl, why do you cry the same tears?
You’ve been torturing yourself for years,
Careless about your actions, letting any man lay with you,
Don’t you realize your problems are caused by what you do?

Bred a child to this world,
Will it be a boy or girl?
Much yet a child without guidance,
Treat yourself better, with righteousness.

And it’s a young man, your son, your boy,
But the environment he’s in leaves him without joy,
A missing void in his heart,
You should know how it starts.

And your boy lives with no morals,
Slinging the rock and playing with girls,
Not even realizing that’s how he got here,
Living with emptiness, he doesn’t care.

His friend was murdered on the unforgiving streets,
And you watched him cry, tears soaking his sheets,
All by the same thing that got him that doe,
He won’t stop, the meaning behind it, he does not know.

Just another dropout, just like you,
Only difference is he’s nothing like you,
More like his father, whoever that is,
And his life is flashing in-front of you leading to a fiery abyss.

You danced with the devil and he followed you,
He stayed with you for long and crept in your womb,
Now he dances with your only child, his life going down hill,
You give up on him and you start popping pills.

And on the pipe within a week,
Smoking all of your son’s merchandise, you’re weak,
Ruining your life, you’re in a nut shell,
And your only son is working towards jail.

No, not even there, he couldn’t make it,
Your son was shot by a driven crack addict,
So you shed your tears and cry boo hoo,
But I must admit, you’re better off dead too.

So when my people cry the same tears for years,
When no one hears laughter of joyful cheers,
I question “Why, why do they sit here and take this?”
We need to treat ourselves better; I know we can make it.

No more crying senseless tears.
