Around Me

I lean my head against the smooth bark of the tree.
My hair flows freely, lifted by the warm autum breeze.
I inhale deeply, smelling all the rich scents around me.
I grip a branch covered in soft, furry, gray-green moss.
I jump down onto the soft ground.
I walk along the waters' edge, my reflection walking with me.
Fallen leaves crunch beneath my feet, bugs fly by me in a fleet.
I find a place to sit, to listen to the Earth, to feel the cool water soak into my shoes and socks.
I wait for nothing, I just enjoy the world around me.
