She's a Mystery

She lays her head on my lap.
Her hair flows long and I ripple my hands through them.
Finally reaching her hand I hold them tightly as she gently squeezes back.

I've never seen her face.
Maybe I never will.
She's a mystery I'll never question.

My hearts speaks louder than anything else and it beats to her name.
I'm curious enough t want to know her more.
Perhaps I'm way over my head but I'm not alone.

He's staring into my eyes.
His hands grasping minds and I don't want to let go.
This is what she's probably thinking.

I wish it were so.
My reality has shattered to where she's now a part of it.
The drum of my heart takes it in.

This IS real.
I'm typing into the laptop
Yet our words speak deeply into our souls.

She is here in my arms.
I am there holding her.
Nothing is more real than that.
