Reflection

What I see disgusts me,
It makes me want to flee.
To a new place,
With a different face.
On the other side of greener grass,
That is beyond the glass.
The person I have become,
Looks so dumb.
Trying to fit in society,
Fills me with anxiety.
Now I reject,
Trying to be perfect.
I will shatter society's reflection,
So I can love who I really am.

I was looking through picture of reflections when the idea for this poem hit me on the head. This is a poem everyone can relate to. Trying to look perfect because society says we have to and in the end we don't like ourselves. We eventually figure out that it is better to love ourselves for who we are and not how society or other people think we should be.
