People I've Never Met
People I've never known fill the space
Growing older without you seems like forever
Searching faces till time freezes
But they have no faces, no eyes, no smiles or frowns
I go on like today is my last looking for someone
When I reach the center of the forever budding crowd
I find a well with the word "Escape" in gold letters above
And throw my last coin in and wish to leave
Without an idea of where the wind would take me
I look up into a sky of white
Nothing happens...
I am trapped with people without faces
I look into the well filled with blacken
I stand on the rim and take a last look at the people with faces
Like a sea of people there is no end
I jump into the well and break away from this nightmare
And you never think of me again
The people with no faces get their faces back
When I escape your mind
I am the last thought
To never be thought of again
It can be so easy to forget
Growing older without you seems like forever
Searching faces till time freezes
But they have no faces, no eyes, no smiles or frowns
I go on like today is my last looking for someone
When I reach the center of the forever budding crowd
I find a well with the word "Escape" in gold letters above
