Here's the tale of the Hopeless Romantic
Need not to look elsewhere but me
So prepare the tissue boxes
Relax on your couches
If you've just joined in take a seat

Now for as long as I can remember
Reading of romance and to believe
Tales of love have driven me to dream
To one day find a girl, to love and to care
To hold as we cuddle in our sleep

I was but a boy who knew nothing at first
So you can believe I was naive as you see it
The girls that walked in
Who loved me and cared
Ended up walking out the door last minute

The K's never kissed me
Baby Ruth had to leave me cuz she met a cute guy at the shop
I was left all alone
Only for a Girl to phone
And ditch me the next day, the love was a flop

Never had I been in a relationship that lasted
long enough for them to care
Not as much as I did
This Hopeless Romantic
I loved them though they weren't there

I cried each night
After every break up
Only to get back on my feet the next day
My hopes shattered, Dreams were hammered
I still longed for a heart that would stay

She's there somewhere
The one for me
There's no denying that fact
My heart still beating, the nights I keep praying
True love could be as close as turning my back

I should give up
The thought comes to mind
Quite often then you may think
But neigh I say, to hell with that way
I'll live and breath without a shrink

This Hopeless Romantic has hardly grown
Naive and keeps smiling stupidly
I see another has walked in, blonde hair flowing beautifully
Hope she's the one
Fingers crossed, she'll stay with me.
