Social Atrocities
The edge of reason
The forefront of insanity
Oh how we choose to alleviate it
To dismiss the latter as if it were a blemish
To bless the further beyond any reasonable doubt
That is how it works
For us to choose such a mechanism
One which drives us to love that which is similar
And to alienate that which is different
To be cast into a an abyss of forgetfulness
Never again to be touched by the light of day
That is, unless someone else falls victim to it
Because we are our own prey
The forefront of insanity
Oh how we choose to alleviate it
To dismiss the latter as if it were a blemish
To bless the further beyond any reasonable doubt
That is how it works
For us to choose such a mechanism
One which drives us to love that which is similar
And to alienate that which is different
To be cast into a an abyss of forgetfulness
Never again to be touched by the light of day
That is, unless someone else falls victim to it
