Nameless

Sometimes I just wanna breath you in
Feel the lingering of your hair on my skin
The smell of it on my face
The warmth of your body against mine.
Sometimes I can imagine us just walking away
Hands interlocked
Eyes looking up at the stars
And the world’s rage in our hearts
Sometimes I swear I hate you
Smother a pillow over your face
Enough to here it end
Then sob over what I’ve done
Sometimes I swear I see the loss in your eyes
His name on your lips
Or hear his name in your voice
Why can you let it go
Other times I swear it’s over
I can see you walking away
Holding your hand to your quivering mouth
Me running after you and begging you to stay
Other times I swear we’re fused together
Like the pores and prints of our skin are gone
And all we have is each other
As we search for what we can find
Maybe this is what love is
Imperfect
Misshapen
Unexplainable
Maybe that’s what courses through my veins instead
Maybe that’s the thing that I feel
