Underneath the Rug

I see nothing, no one
only darkness
all around me, all over me
under me, above me
only darkness.
I wish to smell nothing
but there’s dirt
and dust; germs
I can’t see them, but I can smell.
I hear a lot
talking people; their laughter and tears
people moving; vibrations and echoes
I can hear nearly everything.
I feel sadness, sorrow, pain.
I am lonely.
I am forgotten.
With no one to talk to
I feel sorrow
when I am trampled over
I feel pain
because I will never see you again
I feel sadness
your missing jigsaw piece.

This is another poem I wrote for English class this year. I think that it's really abstract, some of you might find it hard to understand. I usually don't write a lot of poetry, but I just feel like posting some stuff up here.
