The Only Question
The leaves fall from the trees,
Like rain from the sky,
The flowers are all dying,
But all I can ask is,
Why?
New life is born every day,
And birds learn to fly,
Plants are sprouting up,
But all I can ask is,
Why?
Death is alive for everyone,
And everyone does cry,
Nature is dormant now,
But all I can ask is,
Why?
We live, We die,
We cherish, We lie,
But the only question upon my lips is,
Why?
Like rain from the sky,
The flowers are all dying,
But all I can ask is,
Why?
New life is born every day,
And birds learn to fly,
Plants are sprouting up,
But all I can ask is,
Why?
Death is alive for everyone,
And everyone does cry,
Nature is dormant now,
But all I can ask is,
Why?
We live, We die,
We cherish, We lie,
But the only question upon my lips is,
Why?
