I've never seen the sun rise
Nor have I tried counting the stars.
I've lain beneath the night sky,
But those lights always seemed too far.

So I slept in the welcoming openness
Of nature's blossoming embrace,
Blooming to my foreign presence,
The summer breeze caressing my face.

I always wished to feel that silent wind
That whispers the secrets of the soul,
It holds the words of His own lips.
If only I were to be called.

Oh! how I wish to have that moment!
That moment when you know that it's true,
Where you close your eyes, going weak at the knees
Because there's nothing else to do.

I wish for that day to one day come
When I'll walk and feel like I belong
To the person walking right beside me
Together with our two hearts beating along

I want to count every single star,
And I want to feel that breeze.
I want to paint the sky with light.
I want to do it, him and me.
