Setting The Scene

At first the scene
Is happy and bright
Making the most
Of the fading light

But things change
And darker it becomes
And people patiently wait
for the colour to start to run

Soon the colours curdle
The shades begin to mix
The scene before them, so beautiful
They think their eyes are playing tricks

But no tricks are used
Its just your average natural wonder
Only a daily simple scene
As the sun prepares to slumber

The scene now shifts and moves
The tones and tinges die
The audience turn their backs
A weary sign of goodbye

'Why not try and catch it?'
I hear you cry to me
'Why let this fade away?'
You question so bluntly

But the sun is never biased
To one race, day or figure
Not even to you
My dear, confused reader
