Start from the end

I wasn’t ready to see, maybe,
all the catastrophe this world could be,

choked,
couldn’t see,
been to heaven and hell and back again, you see,
sooner than you could count to three.

scream, had to scream, you see
not even a whisper could manage to leave me,
they played a game with fate,
I succumbed to their pleas-

air of death and despair flooded out-
strangers with strained faces,
pulled and cut away at my strings-

they let me be,
before I could even see,
you see

these scars, are all me,
I watch, you cringe and look away in distress,
I’ll just smile, no stress

I began where it all ended, you see
my lungs, this night shall fill-
stars will build and shine within

No, no shame, none at all now
they freed me, and let me be-

the past they saw, I didn’t see-
and now they can’t see,
now, I,

I see the Russian roulette that fate had played with me-
I dodged the bullet, only just, you see

so pardon me and don’t dwell – no, not at all,
if you see me smiling, up, silently.
