Insane Satisfaction

I lie on the floor
blood on my hands
memories at every glance
I take of the lifeless body lying next to me.
It was a mistake.
"I promise it won't happen again," I whisper
but I know it's too late.
I didn't mean to do it.
I should have just walked away,
but what has been done is history;
and now I must make it a mystery for anyone who once knew her.
I look over and meet her lifeless eyes and I'm almost sure she winked at me.
Maybe they were right and I was wrong.
I'm going insane, but there's nothing I can do.
There's no one who can save me form this Hell I've been pulled into.
And I guess I'll make my stay here an unbound wild ride and maybe if I'm lucky there are no rules to abide.
So after I bury this beaten body I'll go out in search for another to keep me satisfied.
