Monster

When the sun faded away
I knew we could no longer stay
In the position we lay
Upon the sinking day.
Your hands felt rough on my skin
Yet, the pleasure was something of a sin.
We lay in the meadowed field
You protected me like a shield.
I felt at home in your arms,
Far, far away from harm.
You looked into my eyes
And whispered "I love you"; lies.
Your lingering hands slid
Down to my my waste, the final bid.
I gripped your hand, tears shed down my face
Filled with love and embrace.
I let you take my body higher
Making it feel as if I was on fire.
The burning sensation
was just more temptation.
"I love you"
"I love you too"
Now I see....
The monster has always been
Inside of me.
