To Sea

As I sit upon the shore,
Fresh with fallen snow.
Hving watched them all pack,
And cried when I seen them go.
Looking at the emerald sea,
For it fails to compete.
With my envy of all of them,
And as I sit here incomplete.
I remember how life and love,
Always slipped through my hands.
Elusive and never there,
Escaping me like an hourglass's sands.
Looking past the emeralds and jades,
I see a sapphire blue.
Searching for a reflection,
And a chance to see you.
So that I can see your face,
For finally an end a goal,
A reason for my heart to race.
