Where's The "Good" In Goodbye

Her hands locked into his,
Hoping he would hold onto her forever.
She lost herself in his eyes,
Knowing soon it would be time to say goodbye.
He was all she ever wanted,
But it didn't matter now.
There were no words she could say,
and no actions she could take to stop him.
He spoke his finals words to her,
Then left her standing in the cold night.
She couldn't breath without him,
Couldn't think without him.
He had told her goodbye,
but there was one thing she didn't understand.
Why had he said goodbye?
There was nothing good about it.
His finals words played through her head over and over for weeks,
and she realized she could never be the same without him.
Her final words were now spoken,
And her final actions taken.
But her question forever remained unanswered?
Where is the "good" in goodbye?

Its a kind of sad story if you catch on at the end, but yes she kills herself, and sadly this is a true story about a friend of mine :( But, I would love to know One- What you think of the piece? and two- do you see any good in goodbyes?
