The Sun Rises

The sun rises and sets
With the world
But the moon hangs low
With me.

In the hours of the night,
I wonder if I ever wish to see
The sun rise again.

My thoughts,
Impaired from lack of sleep,
Drive me to the brink,
Push me to the cliff,
Make me dance on the edge.

Late night TV
Illuminates these feelings
Repressed by by the dawn's early light
I start this process once again.

Can I live another day?
Do I want to?

As the sun peaks
From the clouds,
I close my eyes to sleep.

Another sun rise gone
And I was here to see it.
