Astrological Anomaly
I gaze upon the starlit sky
But something seems to be awry
A problem in the passing stars
Beyond our home, and off past Mars
Stars laid out in strange array
Dark out of night, light without day
Ominous lights of vibrant color
Mixing shades with one another
Enigmatic thoughts ran through my mind
What anomalous signature has been signed
Cosmic obscurity; a frightening thought
the meaning of this, the truth I sought
For the better, or for the worse
The Universe has turned perverse
A small exchange in chaos theory
Has left me gazing upon it weary
Though I think it for the best
My heart beats no inside my chest
I must let these fears go free
And forget this cosmic anomaly.

I wrote this not just for myself but so I had something to present at a poetry reading at school, to which I got some good feedback from my friends. It took me all of 15 minutes to right, and about 2 minutes to revise so this is technically "Astrological Anomaly v1.5".
