As The Snow Falls

Closed eyes and clenched fists.
Gritted teeth and slit wrists.

Was he worth it? Probably not
But you couldn’t possibly expect not to rot

Now feel it pulsing through your veins, through your thoughts and in your brain.

This is the last time, so make it count
This is your last shot try not to drown

Before you go remember to forget
How you really felt
How the thought of him could make you melt

Do you regret?
Did you forget?

How he held you,
Loved you?

Maybe he did but you’ll never know
The snow outside outlines your soul as you let go
