To a Place We've All Been

The children of hope,
Slipping right down the drain,
They don’t understand,
That the world feels their pain.
We’ve all been to that place,
The one that’s so dark,
but when you leave it behind,
you’re left with a spark.
The spark that’s inside,
Leads you away from that room,
To a place with more light,
Where your destiny looms.
I can’t tell you from there,
What you have to go do,
Because you’re different from me,
You’ll always be you.
A warning I’ll give,
Is to not drop your mind,
Or get lost in a place,
That I can’t describe.
So I’m writing this down,
In a book of my dreams,
On account of a world,
That is not what it seems.
