Last Resting Place

I watch from the sidelines as I let you screw up your life
and for the first time I couldn't help, you screamed my name.
I just stood there and watched you go down the road of no
return I just gave up as I saw you laying in that coffin in internal
rest.

'I'll see you in the afterlife' I whisper as I stood looking over your
peaceful face wiping the tears from my eyes I knew you were in a
better place now where you don't have to worry anymore.

I watched them lay the coffin in the ground and I cried and I cried
and I cried as I made my way to my Last Resting Place.
