Scotty

You were an innocent,
Misunderstood,
When our eyes first met.

I was a girl,
Falling where she stood,
In her imploding world.

Your eyes they said,
'I know how you feel'
Never thought you'd end up dead.

I went on with life,
And am nearing my dream,
But with great strife.

You skated through life,
Living with no care,
And left your mother with a scream.

Now your face has a vacant stare,
Never again will you feel.
Your wounds could not be healed.

I heard you saw lights,
So beautifully bright,
But with a deadly strike.

And thus on the eve of a holy night,
You lay in a crimson pool.
On pavements I have passed by.

They seem cool,
Until lives are ceased,
On those darkly roads.

Your mother cries,
For her lost boy.
Finds it hard to believe you have died.

I remember you,
The misunderstood boy,
I was misunderstood too.

But to you I never spoke,
Only with our eyes did we speak.
We said, life can't get better.

I was weak,
So were you,
And we were wrong.

But now you'll never get to try,
To make your sun rise,
It makes me wanna cry.

I remember you,
And it hurts to know,
When I look outside I won't see you.
