Nihilistic Bliss

They say you shouldn't burn your bridges.
They have a point, as I wouldn't waste your time.
The bridges are fire retardant, but in the heat of the moment
They will catch fire eventually.
So instead of wasting your matches,
Just be patient and watch the fireworks.

Heat of the moment...
Familiar sounds, tone it makes.
There is nothing but the now.
When I'm dead, and everyone who ever knew
Dies.
When all the people that ever heard about me
From those who knew me die,
I will be nothing.

Nothing we do matters. Eventually,
The wonderful thing we treasure as the sun
Will kill off the rest of us (burned in the heat of the moment)

It means nothing.
We are but a little piece of spherical shit (only because we made it this way)
Spiraling through a seemingly infinite place (of seemingly infinite space)
We mean nothing.

So tell me, all of you desperate believers:

Does that detract from life's beauty?

Despite the inevitable, I seek pleasure
Happiness, bliss. Those of you who
Blindly worship the powerful invisibles
Constantly perpetuate your fear of death...
By dwelling on it.

So, to those who pray to the paint on their ceilings,
The clouds in the sky...the bird that flew over you, just
As you clapped your hands together...

Just live one day that isn't centered around an
Archaic black book...

Just step outside, and embrace the world.
