The Words of a Serpent

Words of a serpent,
I hear them in my head,
As the creature attacks me from behind.
Its poisonous venom runs through my veins and kills me very slowly.

The rest of my life will go unspent,
As it slowly drains me dead,
And you watch me die,
Two yards from where I lye,
Do you even care to help me?

"Sssssee."
The snake says to me,
"He isssss ultimately usssselessss to the."
I should've known you wouldn't do anything to help me.

I breathed out words that you never heard,
They disappeared in the air,
Like they were never there,
And then my vision began up blur.

"Help me..."
I whisper,
But in return I only hear you whimper.
"Why won't you save me?"

I cried and cried for your help,
But you only ran away,
You heard me yelp,
When the serpent began to drag me away.

I scream bloody murder,
And you ran even faster,
And now these memories haunt you and make you shudder,
But you know it doesn't matter.

I taunt you in your dreams,
And you'll never see,
Again,another happy memory,
All because of me...
