Howl

Slow movements with a narrow gate.Shoulders scrape and bend swiftly.
Air brushes fur back and forward.Cool nostalgia pulls at mind.
Eyes close for the nose to control.
The gust sends wave after wave of smells.
Pine dances by as the Autumn joins in.
Hints of weed and bark brings sensational gasps.

Then scents are over taken.
Iron seeps to the core with bitter breaths.
Tongue glides over lip for wanting desires.
Teeth ache to gnaw.
Jaws sting to open.
Head shoots left and right.
Nothing but the breeze to guide the path.

Ears perk and twitch upward.
Panting,
The crunch of the snow,
Heavy paws hitting Earth.
Then silence.
All sounds have ceased except those of the sky and trees.
Leaves caress leaves and branches sway.

In one clear sweep the air is chill
And the current is stronger than ever.
Then the howls sends the shiver to the moon.
