How I saw it 01.01.2012

The doors opened and he stepped off the train and out to the platform. His heart raced and his eyes wandered. He'd be meeting her for the first time. She said she'd be wearing her gray coat and jeans, now, all he had to do was look. As the train pulled away from the station, he set eyes on her near the south end of the platform, sitting on the bench. She too, had appeared to be searching for him but he caught her first. He froze. She looked in his direction and stared, knowing it was him. She was even more beautiful than he imagined she'd be. She slowly put foot in front of the other, shaking. They were both nervous but he neared closer to her and thier eyes met once again. Hers; full of anxiety and his; desire. He couldn't stand it anymore, he ran to her and she jumped into his arms. They both cried as they embraced. She knew that she'd rather be with him than anywhere else for this moment and forever. She smiled and he kissed her. So gently but so strong. She felt weak but squeezed him tighter. He belonged here and she did too.
