The Great Gig in the Sky

"And I am not frightened of dying. Any time will do, I don't mind. Why should I be frightened of dying? There's no reason for it — you've got to go sometime."

I walk along a crooked path.
With dark stars - quasars - bursting in my head.
I want no more greed or wrath.
I won't be sad when they call me Dead.

They write for me an elegy.
To which I reply don't you dare cry.
Write with discordant melody.
I'll see you again at the great gig in the sky.

I look towards space.
I wish I was there- in peaceful lair.
With my existence erased.
To float in that ethereal air.

I want my lair to be no coffin.
But let me slip- off on a pyre ship.
Do not remember me to often.
Let me sail to the sky but let my sails not rip.

Let my sins be remembered.
Let them decry- they way we live and die.
Let me die in snows of December.
Icy I go to the great gig in the sky.

Quotes and idea come from the song "The Great Gig in the Sky" by Pink Floyd which is by far one of the most amazing pieces I have ever heard in my life.
