City Lights (Going Back)

I went from where I was to where I am now
Starting over overnight
Feeling different while the world is sober
Nothing here seems alright
I just can't forget my past and move along
Everything was good then instantly went wrong
Haven't felt the same since the last day
Since the last day

Everything changed and you can't expect me
To just blend in
Miles away and the world's spinning slowly
I'm kept sane by a wire so thin
Different places and different faces
The world's hidden from all these sights
And what I'm missing most are the city lights

I'll escape on the weekends if I can
Just to go back
It's like giving myself false hope
Cause hope is what I lack
Tired of these changes, all these places all the time
Everyday and every night's the same in my eyes
Cause what I miss are the times, the times I use to have
That have gone away

Everything changed and you can't expect me
To just blend in
Miles away and the world's spinning slowly
I'm kept sane by a wire so thin
Different places and different faces
The world's hidden from all these sights
And what I'm missing most are the city lights

Everyday something's wrong
What I'm missing, What I need
Walking miles to go back home
But I can't stay permanently
Breathe in the air while I can
Just breathe, just breathe
Just breathe
Time to go back
