A Phone Call Away

A desperate phone call,
There’s a life on the line,
Making no sense at all,
And running out of time.

A broken heart,
Endless tears,
A world torn apart,
A fragile life appears,

What is the easy way out?
A choice you already know,
Morbid thoughts and doubt,
Make your heart break grow.

Tell me of your agony,
Tell me of your pain,
But please listen to me,
Before you go insane.

I know life is hard,
I know its unfair,
I know you’re scarred,
But people do care.

I know you are blind,
The tears make it so,
And the love you can’t find,
Is still out there, you know.

Our lives are too fragile
To even begin to waste,
You must be agile,
And not make haste.

Not a decision so rash,
Your emotions have control,
Stop before you crash,
And forever lose your soul.

Is it truly worth it?
Hurting ones you love?
I know this is only regret,
And you can rise above.

If the truth be told,
Everything is temporary,
And as your life unfolds,
You will be set free.

Freedom is not in death,
But in bliss in your life,
So take a breath,
In this temporary strife.

Things will become clear,
And you will come to find,
Everything you hold dear,
Was here the whole time.

Reach out with your voice,
Honestly it’s okay to ask,
If you don’t know your choice,
If you can’t handle a task.

You are not on your own,
With the world on your shoulders,
You don’t have to carry it alone,
It will lighten as you grow older.

I promise to you, my friend,
That life is only at the start,
And this is not your end,
Just a lesson for your heart.

Not everyone is kind,
But most people do care,
As you will come to find,
Someone will always be there.

And whenever you need me,
I’m just a phone call away,
And I will help you to see,
Tomorrow is a new day.
