TREE

Tress waiting trapped in silence
Branches curled cringing at an invisible pain
Naked to the cold barren world striped of protection
Axes thrust deep into their heart
When will we ever know?
The loss and pain of the trees
Swaying in the wind ready to renounce
Trees the shelter of animals
Endowing with air in which we breathe
Burning their memories into a thick black smoke
Reaching out they are forgotten
Their babies ripped from their clutches
Mother Nature imprisoned in a far off castle
Walking through the woods listen close you can hear their wails
Wails of sorrow… of longing for those who are lost

Trees…Why do we cut them as we please?
